PRIVACY POLICY FOR ZEN-ME INCORPORATED’S WEBSITE

Applicable from 21st March 2017

Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how and when Zen-Me Incorporated (“Zen-Me”, “we”) collects, uses and shares your information when you access and use the Zen-Me website located at www.zenme.io, including any electronic newsletters, updates or other communications that can be ordered on the website, any subsite accessible through the website and any other services provided on the website (together “Website”).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and print a copy for your records.

BY ACCESSING AND USING THE WEBSITE YOU EXPLICITLY CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION, PROCESSING, TRANSFER, DISCLOSURE AND STORAGE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AND OTHER INFORMATION WITHIN AND OUTSIDE YOUR OWN COUNTRY AS FURTHER DESCRIBED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. If you don’t consent to the aforementioned actions, do not access and/or use the Website.

What information do we collect and how do we collect it?

We collect information in three different ways:

Information you choose to give us. When signing up for electronic newsletters, updates or other communications on the Website, we ask you to provide personal information, such as your e-mail address. You may also choose to voluntarily add additional information. If you contact us for whatever reason and by whatever means, we will also receive your contact details and possibly other personal information like your name, as well as any personal information contained in your communication to us.

Information we get from your access to or use of our Website. When you access and/or use the Website, we may collect technical and device-specific information, such as IP address, location information, browser type and version, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, information about your visit (including the URL clickstream to, through and from our Website), products you viewed or searched for, download errors, length of visits to certain pages and page interaction, language settings, wireless network information and mobile network information (including mobile phone numbers). We collect information through the use of various technologies, including through "cookies". Cookies are explained further below in our Cookie Statement

Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to evaluate the use of our website. Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google. Google utilizes the data collected to track and examine the use of the Website, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. For more information, see our Cookie Statement below.

Information we collect from third parties. We may receive information about you and your behavior online from third parties, such as social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. For example, you may be allowed to share Website content on or “push” content from the Website to social media platforms, and the social media platforms may then in turn notify us of and provide us with additional information about your actions.

How do we use the information?

We use the information we have collected to provide, improve and further develop the Website, our services, and products. More specifically, to:

  • send you electronic newsletters, updates and other communications, if applicable;
  • respond to your inquiries;
  • develop, operate, improve, deliver, maintain, and protect our Website;
  • monitor and analyse usage of our Website;
  • ensure the technical functionality of the Website;
  • enhance the safety and security of our Website;
  • verify your identity and prevent fraud or other unauthorized or illegal activity; and
  • enforce this Privacy Policy, other terms and conditions governing the Website, and applicable law.

How do we share the information?

We may share information with our affiliates and service providers, such as Amazon Web Services, in order to provide the Website to you. When a third party processes data on our behalf, it is subject to security and confidentiality obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. We may also share information with third parties as part of a merger or acquisition involving Zen-Me to the extent allowed by applicable data protection laws.

Moreover, we may share information with third parties for legal reasons, for example:

  • to respond to a legal process (e.g., a court order), if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to do so;
  • to comply with requirements of mandatory applicable laws, rules, and regulations;
  • to detect and resolve fraud and security and technical concerns; and/or
  • to protect the rights, property and safety of Zen-Me, our users, and the public, including enforcing such rights, this Privacy Policy and other terms and conditions governing the Website.

Zen-Me may transfer to and process and store information about users on cloud servers located in a number of countries. Zen-Me may also subcontract processing to, or share your information with, affiliates and service providers located in countries other than your home country. Your personal information may therefore be subject to privacy laws that are different from those in your country of residence.

Cookie Statement

Zen-Me uses cookies and other technologies, such as web beacons and pixel tags, to:

  • improve the Website;
  • remember your settings and preferences;
  • identify and prevent security risks such as malicious activity and violations of this Privacy Policy and other terms and conditions governing the Website;
  • collect information about your activity, browser, and device (for example, pages viewed and pages visited before navigating to our website, IP address); and
  • collect traffic data and analytics.

A cookie is a small piece of data that is sent to your browser or mobile device by websites, mobile apps, and advertisements that you access or use. This data is stored on your browser or mobile device and helps websites and mobile apps to remember things about you. Cookies can remain on your computer or mobile device for different periods of time. Some cookies are “session cookies”. These cookies exist only while your browser is open and are deleted automatically once you close your browser. Other cookies are “persistent cookies”. These cookies survive after your browser is closed until a defined expiration date. Zen-Me uses both session and persistent cookies.

Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies that facilitate an analysis of your use of the Website. The information will be transferred to Google’s servers in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Website, compiling reports on Website activity for homepage operators and providing other services relating to Website activity and Internet usage. Google may transfer such data to its service provider and to other third parties if required by law. Zen-Me does not send any information to Google that can be reasonably used to identify you, for example your name or e-mail address. Moreover, Google will not combine your IP address with other data owned by Google.

Cookie opt-out. Most browsers allow you to change your cookie settings. The “Options” or “Preferences” menu of most browsers explains how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to ask the browser to notify you when you receive a new cookie and how to disable cookies altogether. Your browser’s settings may also allow you to disable or delete other similar technologies and data. However, please keep in mind that these technologies are an important part of how the Website works; removing, rejecting or limiting the use of cookies or other similar technologies might affect the availability and functionality of the Website. Therefore, we don’t recommend that you remove, reject or limit the use of cookies or other technologies.

Google Analytics opt-out. If you don’t want your data to be used by Google Analytics you can install the so called “Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on”. This add-on prohibits your information from being used by Google Analytics. To opt-out of Google Analytics, visit the website https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Please note that updates to your browser or operating system may affect the add-on.
